Intro to Sewing
This is a one-on-one class to teach you all about your sewing machine. You learn how to thread the top and the bobbin, what that funny looking metal thing is, how to sew backward, what to do when the thread gets all tangled up and everything else you need to know to be ready to sew.

Beginning-Beginning Sewing

How old do you have to be?  Beginning at 7 years old.  
May I bring a friend?  Definitely!  It's more fun that way.
Can Mom or Gramma come with me?  She sure can
You will need a sewing machine and know how to use it.  If you need help with it, see the class above

Beginning Sewing for 8-12 year olds
Now you are ready to make something bigger.  How about a skirt or simple dress?  You will be sooo proud to wear it.
You'll learn how to cut your pattern with scissors, pin your fabric together and sew straight seams.  You'll put elastic in the waist of your skirt, and hem it.
You will need a sewing machine and know how to use it.

Beginning Quilting  8-15 year olds
You can learn to quilt and make a small quilt in class.  It is fun and exciting.  First you learn how to cut out the fabric with a rotary cutter, then how to sew a quarter-inch seam, sew blocks together and finish.  And You Can Do It!

Beginning Crochet 7 & up 
Learn how to crochet a simple wash cloth or doll blanket.  You will learn how to handle your hook, make a chain & single crochet.  You choose the color of yarn.

Intermediate Crochet
If you already know the basics of crochet, or you have taken the Beginning class, you are ready for this one.  Continue to learn new stitches and make a great project; a scarf, perhaps, that would be a wonderful Christmas gift for Dad.

Beginning Knitting
Knitting is fun, restful and exciting.  You see your work right away and you can make a washcloth or neckwarmer in your first class.  You will learn how to choose yarn and needles;  how to cast on and make the stitches.  Then you have plenty of time to practice between class meetings.   You can do this.  It is easy!

Christmas Gifts to make
   
Here is a chance to make something special for your family.  Maybe a Teddy Bear for little brother, a set of placemats for Gramma, a tote bag for mom.
You can make what ever you want with the help of your teacher.  But don't tell, its a surprise.  You can even wrap the gift in class and slip it under the tree when nobody's looking.
                Prerequisite: Must know how to use sewing machine.                                                      This is not a beginner class
