The Needle Arts Center in Louisville, Kentucky
is a long held dream of Marilou Jacob
to provide instruction in all of the
types of arts long practiced by women:
quilting, sewing, embroidery, knitting, crochet,
rug hooking, needlepoint, sashiko quilting,
making slip covers for your chairs and other skills.
The Center provides classes from beginner level to expert plus some fun projects along the way.
Our dream doesn't stop with classes, however.
The Needle Arts Center also dreams of offering a lending library,
show room, work space, meeting space and more.
Marilou started sewing on buttons at age six and quickly moved on to making her own clothes. She also sewed household items such as draperies, upholstery, throw pillows, etc, as a professional interior decorator. When she moved to Louisville, Kentucky she looked for new challenges and took a beginner class in Quilting. And, the rest is history.
